A nine-hour day asks a good deal of a building, so here is what ours holds: the cool room for the afternoon, the cameras, the space to run about in, and a kitchen that saves you packing a tiffin.

Cameras across the school
CCTV coverage runs right through the building all day, rather than sitting at the entrance and calling that security.
Twenty-five, capped
A hard ceiling on every batch, because crowding is what lets small problems go unnoticed until they have become large ones.
Air-conditioned care room
The day care room is cooled, which matters most through the long afternoon stretch when children are resting.
Activities
What a week actually contains.
Creative & messy play
Paint on hands, paint on faces and now and then paint on the floor, which is where the youngest children do most of their actual learning.
Focused desk work
Short stretches of proper sit-down work for Jr. and Sr. KG, covering writing, patterns and numbers, so that a desk comes as no shock in Class 1.
Group classroom time
Working alongside other children at the same table, which means sharing materials, waiting a turn and getting on with it anyway.

We’d rather show you our own rooms than somebody else’s, so a proper shoot is being arranged — real children, real mornings, and parents’ permission first — and until that happens these four slots stay deliberately empty.
